Sri Maha Nava Chandi Yagna, Brisbane, Australia
SRI MAHA NAVA CHANDI YAGNAM is conducted with the chanting of the DURGA SAPTHASATHI (Devi Mahatmayam) also known as Chandi path. This mantra occurs in the MARKANDEYA PURANA, one of the 18 puranas compiled by sage Vyasa . It is one of the authoritative texts of Shaktism and Mantra Shastra. Durga sapthasathi contains 700 Mantras along with the purvangas like Nyasam, Avahanam, Namani, Argalam, Keelakam, Hrudayam, Dhalam, Dhyanam, Kavacham, Pouranika Ratri Suktam and Uttaranga mantras like pournika Devi sukhtam and rahasya trayam. It is chanted along with the Navakshari Mantra (nine-lettered mantra on Goddess Chandi who is the very embodiment of Maha Kali, Maha Lakshmi, Maha Saraswathi). It has to be chanted after taking mantra Upadesa of Maha Ganapathi Moola Mantra and Navakshari Moola Mantra from a guru.
One such great Yagna was witnessed by devotees, being performed in Sri Lakshmi Narayan Mandhir, Burbank on 18 December 2010, with the blessings of Lakshmiji (Founder and Trustee of Loka Kshema Yagna Trust www.lokakshemayagna.org) who works for the well being of one and all.
Sri Lakshmiji works with the only moto of ‘Sarve Jana Sukhino Bhavathu’ and there and hundreds of people who have benefitted by her blessings/poojas and by the guru parampara. We are blessed to have her amongst us and perform this massive and intensive yagna in her presence and guidance. Devotees who attended the yagna derived immense bliss and got the blessings of Goddess Chandika Parameshwari and Sri Lakshmiji.
Sri Lakshmiji is currently touring Australia- Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney-and is striving to work for the wellbeing of one and all.
Volunteers on the day were Ravikumar and Chandramouli who organized in bringing all resources together to perform the Yagna.
